Builsa is

a district in the Upper East Region of Ghana. The capital of the district is Sandema. Builsa District is one of nine districts in the Upper East Region of Ghana, situated betwe en 10 ° 05 W and 10 ° 35 W and 100 ° 20 N, 100 ° 50 N area of the district is 2.220 kilometers ², which represents 25.1% total area of the region. District area is wavy with a slope of 200 to 300 meters in the northern part, mainly around the cities Bachonsa and Chuchuliga. The river valleys Sissili, Kulpawn, Besibeli, Tono, Asibelika and Azimzim slopes are more gentle and rise from 150 to 200 meters.
